Pak navy is responsible for guarding the coastline of the Pakistan along the Arabian sea. The total length of the coastline is 1046 Km. It has 13 naval bases which are located in three cities i.e Karachi, Ormara and Gawadar. From these naval bases, the Pak navy operates and protects the harbors and coasts.
The Pak Navy is divided into 2 branches, one is Marine Corps (Pak Marines) and the other is SSG N. The functions of these three groups i.e Pak navy, Pak Marines, and SSG N are different. We will only discuss the SSG navy here in this article.
In the following article, different terms are used for SSG N like navy seals, special service group navy, SSG commandos navy. All have the same meaning.

The SSG Navy training is harder than SSG Army. Because the SSG commandos navy are trained to operate in all the environments i.e Sea, Air and Land. Due to this, they are also called navy seals. Seals stand for SEa, Air and Land. SSG navy Pakistan also goes to the Cherat for some part of their training.
These Navy Seals are also able to perform underwater operations which are the ultimate things in the military. This makes the Pak navy SSG commandos more distinguished from all the other special operation forces.

In SSG training of Pak navy, the commandos learned to survive and float in the water while their hand and feet are tied up with the ropes. They also learn to swim in the open sea continuously for 15 hours. Many other tough things are included which you can watch in Video 1 of Pakistan navy SSG commandos training.
These seals also do VBSS operation. These VBSS operations are done with the help of quick moving boats. The VBSS involve operations against pirates, smuggling, search and rescue operation, and to capture the enemy ships.

SSG Navy Training
The training is both physically and mentally tough. 90% of the selected candidates fail during the training. This 90% will return to their navy units and will continue to perform their regular duties. Only 10%, in the end, will be awarded the badge of SSG N. Pak Navy SSG Operations
Pak navy SSG group perform different types of operations like Frogman operations, Airborne operations, Commando assault and anti-terrorism operations including Close Quarter Battle operations for killing terrorists in the buildings and rescue the hostages, Salvage operations (If the ship is hit by the enemy, these seals will come to recover the damaged ship, cargo and its other property). SSG Navy Uniform And SSG Navy Ranks
Seals wear the same green patch camouflage uniform like that of SSG army. Depending upon the mission type, seals also wear the black uniform especially the anti-terrorism seals. The SSG navy ranks are similar to that of regular navy.
