Second Lieutenant Army Pay in Pakistan for 2018 - 2019
Stage 1 salary:
The stage 1 second lieutenant army salary in the Pakistan is about 38,140 PKR. This is
the basic salary.
This salary does not include any allowances. 2nd lieutenant gets a 3814 PKR as a special allowance and his adhoc allowance is also 3814 PKR. There are also other allowance like hard area, medical allowance etc.

By adding all the allowances, the gross salary becomes 50,000 PKR. But this is not the net salary. The net salary is the amount that he takes home. The Pak army deducts many kind of funds and bills from the salary like Sports Fund, Shuhada (Martyrs) Fund, Mess Bill and Laundry Bill, the net salary of 2nd lieutenant becomes 45,000 PKR which he takes home.
Unlike Pakistan military academy, where everything is free for all the cadets even the meal. But as a cadet becomes a second lieutenant, he has to pay the bill for his mess from his pocket.

Stage 2 salary:
The stage 2 2nd lieutenant army pay is about 40,800 PKR (basic pay) as it takes 6 months for 2nd lieutenant to become lieutenant so, there is also stage 2 in this rank.
He gets a 4080 as a special allowance and his adhoc allowance is also the same.
All other allowances are almost same as given above for the stage 1 2nd lieutenant. So, this 2nd Lt. takes nearly 47 thousand to 48 thousand as net salary.
The second lieutenant pay grade is equivalent to BPS 17 in the Pakistan.
More deductions from the salary is done if 2nd Lt. registers himself in the Army Housing Scheme, AHS.
Pakistan army provides all the officers this type of scheme so that after retirement, army may provide them a plot or house. But this plot or house will not be free, the officer has to pay for this house and this payment of house is deducted from his every month salary.

Second Lieutenant Perks, Privileges & facilities
Free memberships of Golf clubs, Desom clubs are provided to all the army officers including 2nd lieutenant. But all the army officers have to pay monthly or annually dues to the clubs. A free NCB or batman is available to all officers.
No house is given to him. He lives in the army hostels. As 2nd Lt. cannot marry until he becomes a captain, so he lives in army mess or hostels.
He may get 50% discount on his ticket if he travels through PIA or Pakistan railways.
